It has taken me almost a solid WEEK to finally get kind of sort of not really ready to jump back in to my regular routine. There's just something about selling stuff at a comic book convention that... well, it just makes me feel so *ALIVE*!

Everybody other seller at the convention stayed very conformist, leaving their table where it had been set up for them and sitting in their chairs behind said table waiting for customers to come to them. But not us, oh no!

We pushed our table up against the wall and built our shelving out from there, creating a kind of "Pit" that customers were drawn in to by several of my "Weenie" items. Somebody goes "Holy crap is that a Saved By The Bell board game?" and is drawn in, at which time he then discovers all the smaller items I had for sale. It worked like a charm, and we cleared out about half the stuff we had taken with us :)

We were perpetually busy, selling non-stop all day long from 10am till 5pm; I didn't get to go see the guests, I didn't get to go see the costume contest, and all the purchases I made were either during my one trip to the bathroom or after the convention was over!

I spent exactly $30. For that I got a sealed box of Star Trek CCG cards, a stack of about 30 back-issues of National Lampoon magazine from the 70's, another stack of about 30 political magazines from the early 1940's, and of course a nice-size stack of 10-for-a-dollar comics (so happy to see the return of the Dime-Bins)!

It was an absolutely incredible show, and I can hardly wait to do it again next year (I should have enough stuff to refill my space by then)
