New Doctor Who

captain_slinkyIn case you hadn't heard, Matt Smith is officially leaving the roll of Doctor Who as of this year's Christmas Special So that leaves us to speculate/suggest/consider WHO WILL BE THE NEXT DOCTOR WHO???
Personally, I'd LOVE to see a season of Doctor Who that had absolutely no Doctor in it at all; just different writers playing with and filling in the gaps of existing supporting characters.

Date: 2013-06-02 03:34 am (UTC)I have really enjoyed Matt Smith. He has been my favorite Doctor (although I've only seen the modern era).
After a couple of chipper fellows in the role it might be nice to go a bit darker for a while. Not evil Doctor, but a no nonsense guy who laughs at wearing a fez or celery on your lapel. Someone you know is going to win, not because he is the Doctor, but because of that look in his eyes.

I'd love to see a female doctor, I just can't think of an actress I'd put in to the roll :/
My current favorite (at 33-to-1 odds according to Vegas right now) is Anthony Head. Rupert Giles, Uther Pendragon and now The Doctor? OOooooooOOOoooh :)
