New Doctor Who

In case you hadn't heard, Matt Smith is officially leaving the roll of Doctor Who as of this year's Christmas Special So that leaves us to speculate/suggest/consider WHO WILL BE THE NEXT DOCTOR WHO???

Personally, I'd LOVE to see a season of Doctor Who that had absolutely no Doctor in it at all; just different writers playing with and filling in the gaps of existing supporting characters.

Actually, I think a series without a Doctor could work. Past companions could get together and seek out the Doctor in his current incarnation. Maybe even catch fleeting glimpses of him, only to lose him at the last possible moment. The companions would be working with the Tardis to accomplish their chosen task.

He would be reunited with his companions and Tardis in the 2014 Christmas Special. Ultimately, it will turn out that the Doctor and Captain Jack Harkness went on pub crawl of epic proportions.
