097 - Foiled again by my own worst enemy!

captain_slinkyMy attempts thus far to set up the XBox have been repeatedly thwarted by that most nefarious of evil-doers, My Past Self. Ooooooooh but he's a crafty and cunning devil, always four steps ahead of me!
PRESENT ME: Okay, cool! I'll just hook this up to the main TV and get gaming!
PAST ME: ...And now that I have everything hooked up to the TV and plugged in, I can push the entertainment center up against the wall here, effectively blocking all access to the back of the TV AND the electrical outlet... there we go... and as the finishing touch, I'll put this table in front of it all where we can stack stuff for the next several months!
PRESENT ME: Well that was difficult, but now it's all set up, all I need is to connect to the Internet!
PAST ME: That's right, mister Internet Installer Person, put the wireless router right over here on the opposite side of the house. I'll stream everything WIRELESSLY! I'll never own another physically connected device again!
PRESENT ME: Looks like I'll have to hook up the XBox in the other room so I can connect directly to the router, should be a snap!
PAST ME: Looks like I'll have to hook up the Microcell Tower from AT&T in the other room so I can connect directly to the router, should be a snap!
EARLIER PAST ME: Looks like I'll have to hook up the Media Server in the other room so I can connect directly to the router, should be a snap!
FURTHER PAST ME: Looks like I'll have to hook up the Wii in the other room so I can connect directly to the router, should be a snap!
PRESENT ME: I just have to figure out where to put the XBox...
PAST ME: Hey let's stack everything that needs to go to the Storage Unit over here, right in front of the gaming TV! That way we WON'T be able to game until we've cleared it all out!
PRESENT ME: Okay, where do I plug it in...?
PAST ME: Looks like I'll have to use this last outlet for the router...
FURTHER PAST ME: Only one outlet left after I plug in all these external hard drives, maybe I should just mount the drives in the server? Naaaaaaah...
A BIT FURTHER PAST ME: This Media Server is a great idea! I'll just seal up the case, put it back here and never have to touch it again!
EVEN FURTHER PAST ME: Wow this Wii with external hard drive and Disney Infinity Platform take up a lot of outlets!
AND EVEN FURTHER PAST THAN THAT ME: I guess we can set up a TV over here, make it like a little gaming area?
PAST ME ON THE DAY WE MOVED IN: WOW look at all the outlets in this room! This is CRAZY! I could NEVER use up all these outlets!

So right now I am trying to decide on if I should move the Wii in to the Main Living Room, or leave it in the Gaming Room with the XBox. Would be nice to have the different systems hoked to different TV's so that Molly could play Wii games while I play XBox some times, but keeping it all consolidated and confined to one room is also pretty nice...
