I have just learned for the first time on the internet that sometimes... SOMETINES you just have to let misinformed idiots keep on being misinformed idiots.
Aparently, Topps (the company that makes baseball cards) was single-handedly responsible for the "comic glut" of the 90's, Wizards Of The Coast is the producer of Yu-Gi-Oh, and and any time that a small company is bought by a large company it means that the product is going to die. You know, like when WotC bought TSR... they just completely stopped making game of Dungeons & Dragons!
So frustrating... exspecially when they keep trying to quote unrelated articles to back up their "arguments". Sometimes, you just have to delete the comments unread and get on with life... but not before bitching about it in your own journal :)

Date: 2003-06-30 12:05 pm (UTC)Oh wait, D&D was re-released streamlined and better than ever before (rare for a streamlining, i do hate that they turned L5R into a die-20 game, it jsut wasn't meant to be, and works better on the orginal system)
Marvel/DC/Image and about 6 other companies were responsible for the comic glut, and their stupid stupid policies of companies like Marvel that caused any artist that was any good to run away and start their own company. Also a backlash of the huge comic buying late 80's where it was a seller's market, and therefore too many started producing too much too quickly trying to capitalize on it......
And this is just off the top of my head, but, i will quote this (http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail10.html) to back up my arguements
