PART 1: You know those games apps that simulate dating and/or social interactions? Commonly referred to as a "Dating Sim" and usually accompanied by Anime-style artwork, you make a character (which is normally based on yourself) and you are put in to a situation where the goal is to build relationships with other characters in the game through multiple choice conversations.
EXAMPLE: The setting is a High School, and I am a student. A cute girl comes up to me and starts a conversation about how she recognizes me from the History Class we have together. She wants to know if she can borrow my notes. I am then given a few choices of response:
PART 2: There is a Japanese Dating Sim called "Hatoful Boyfriend" that is... really hard to explain. But the important part for my purposes and the purpose of my Billion Dollar Idea is that it's all about a school full of people that are actually BIRDS, but not birds.... they're birds who are people that are exactly like if birds were people but also still birds?
Ugh, this is messy. I may just skip this part but if you KNOW OF Hatoful Boyfriend, keep that in mind, because here's the big payoff -
A DATING SIM WHERE YOU CAN DATE YOUR PETS IF YOUR PETS WERE PEOPLE!!!
Now hear me out on this one... it's not gross like that at all!
After you have created your character, you then upload a picture of your pet (multiple pets will cost more). They then use "Which Celebrity Do You Look Like" technology to compare the picture of your pet to their database and give you three choices of which HUMAN CHARACTER your pet most resembles!
You will then be allowed to choose the character's main character trait (Funny, Serious, Lazy, Energetic, Handsome, etc), and BOOM! Your pet is now one of the people in your Dating Sim! Will you become best friends, bitter rivals, or... *intimate*?
I can imagine lonely people all over the world shelling out THOUSANDS of dollars a month to buy extra character slots for their other pets, special alternate seasonal artwork for their characters, special themed adventure sets... WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO SOLVE MYSTERIES WITH THEIR BEST FURRY FRIEND???
