Jan. 6th, 2003 07:01 amOur apartment is now clean(er) than we've had it in about two months... clean enough for me to clutter with CONVENTION ORGANIZATION!!!
See, all year long we have been going to thrift stores where i would find items that would make me say "Ooh, I could sell *that* at the next big comic book convention!". Unfortunately, these convention items have been boxed up and stored together with everything that was at a thrift store that could make me say "Ooh, I could sell that at the next Toy Show", "Ooh, I could sell that on eBay", and "Ooh, me wantee! ME WANTEE!!!".
So there's an entire 15-foot-by-15-foot storage unit jam-packed full of STUFF that I am now sorting through, one box at a time. And me? I'm not content to just split it up in to the easy piles of "Convention/Toy-Show/eBay/Stuff-to-keep"... Oh, NO! I have to split it up even *further*!
This is why I love the United States Postal Service. Did you know that you can go to http://www.usps.com and tell them "Hey, I want you to send me 300 boxes that measure 1 square foot, and all the tape it would ever take to put them all together" and they'll send it all to you for *FREE*?!?!? HOW COOL IS *THAT*?!?!?!
So our livingroom now has a wall of 30 different 1-foot cubes, each one labeled with it's general contents-
...And the list just goes on and on. More boxes will be added today and all this week, while I slowly list certain items on eBay. Then, once I have certain boxes filled, I will go through said boxes and decide what goes to the comic book convention in February and what goes to the next Toy Show, and what just gets to be kept because it's so darned cool!
