Nostalgic or Meloncoly?
Mar. 9th, 2003 04:10 pmI miss the old days.
Certain songs in certain situations just remind me of certain people and certain times. I miss those times.
A mixture of 80's Euro-Pop, Beatles, and Barry Manilow makes me think of 2-am waddles to the bank and to 7-11, so we can have some snacks while we play *more* Pinochle. It makes me think of sexually-repressed theater managers who would spend thousands of dollars just so they could have the excuse to bite someone's toes. And it makes me think about the longest lasting friendship I have ever had in my entire life, childhood or otherwise.
We're older now. I know we'll never have times like the times we had back then... not ever again. Would we really want to?
Sometimes when you have someone in your life who you love as much (if not more) than the members of your family, you just have to find a way to let them know. Just remind them every once in a while that you *do* care.
