Last night, I met with the guy who I bought several very old comic books from on eBay. It's a huge box full of old Western comics like Hopalong Cassidy, Gene Autry, and Disney's Davey Crockett (as well as a lot of newer trad epaperbacks of stuff like Star Trek and Predator). I paid $50 for the entire box. At just a glance, I am guessing that I got at least $350 worth of comic books in there.

Many people (and you know who you are) are thinking "Great! He can sell those comic books for $350!"

WRONG!

There was only ever one other person I've ever met who understood this. His name was Lurch, and he was stoned out of his mind, but I cary his words with me to this day.

We sat in his "Reading Room"; a room of his house that was full of his comic book collection. He was showing me a large stack of older Fantastic Four comics, when he said it:

"It's not that I can *sell* it for $80... it's that I *have* it, and it's *worth* $80... Y'know what I'm saying?"

Yes, I knew what he was saying.

(by the way... to get the full effect of that quote, you need to envision the next-door neighbor character from "Office Space" saying his line "I figure the type of chicks that would double-up on a dude like me would be in to money". Picture *that* guy, *that* voice, only without a mustache).

I LOVE the Undead! Zombies are my favorite genre of horror. Not Voo-Doo Zombies, but your good old Romero-esque PLAGUE of ZOMBIES. For a good chunk of my life, I envied my old frined Alex because he woudl have terrifying Zombie nightmares... OOOOH how I envied his nightmares! All I would get are those nightmares about showing up at school nekid or having Ronald McDonald chase me around my grandmother's back yard in a tractor that was also a fireworks display.

Anyway.

Last night, I got to have my Zombie Nightmare. Only it was STUPID. The *elements* were all there; 80% of the people in the world were gone, deserted streets, fear that The Dead could catch us at any time... Only instead of being with people I love and/or admire, you know who I was in this dream with?

JIMMY KIMMEL and TOM ARNOLD

That's right... the human race is dying, I'm running from zombies, and the people who have survived with me are that guy from "The Man Show" and the guy who was married to Rosanne.

I want a *GOOD* Zombie Dream, dammit!
