I have just learned for the first time on the internet that sometimes... SOMETINES you just have to let misinformed idiots keep on being misinformed idiots.

Aparently, Topps (the company that makes baseball cards) was single-handedly responsible for the "comic glut" of the 90's, Wizards Of The Coast is the producer of Yu-Gi-Oh, and and any time that a small company is bought by a large company it means that the product is going to die. You know, like when WotC bought TSR... they just completely stopped making game of Dungeons & Dragons!

So frustrating... exspecially when they keep trying to quote unrelated articles to back up their "arguments". Sometimes, you just have to delete the comments unread and get on with life... but not before bitching about it in your own journal :)

Odd...

From information that can be found HERE...

On October 14th of this year, they plan to release a boxed set of DVD's titled "Battlestar Galactica: The Complete Epic Series". 6 Discs, each one just over 3 hours long.

Something I had not realized about this show was that there were only 16 episodes plus a 3-hour "Pilot" movie. How did it get so small? I had always just assumed that there were gazillions of episodes and I had just missed most of them!

When the original pilot script for "The Golden Girls" was submitted to Disney/Touchstone, Michael Eisner liked it but he felt something was missing. He thought a show about three old women living together might scare away younger viewers. He asked Susan Harris to keep working on it. Harris then added the character of Sophia. When she was added, Dorothy became just another woman dealing with her mother and Eisner loved it. After Sophia was added and a pilot was shot, a character named Coco, a gay male servant was cut from the series.
