For the first time ever (thanks to the magic of Comcast's "On Demand" service) I have finally seen John Waters' immortaly classic film "Pink Flamingos".

Dear LORD.

As most of you know, it is not easy to offend me. I *am* the guy who inspects his bowel movements and skidmarks for secret messages, after all. But I am proud to say that this early 70's cult-classic film had eve me (ME!) saying "Dude, that is just wrong" and nearly turning away in revulsion.

It hits EVERY SINGLE OFFENSIVE ACT OR CONCEPT. Is there anything you're personally offended by or have strong moral feelings about? Is there a line which you feel should absolutely *NEVER* be crossed? Oh yeah, they crosed that line. ALL of them.

I was very suprised that becaue of some loophole in the ratings system, this feature was only rated "TVMA".

So am I glad I watched it? Yeah... yeah I am. It was a chunk of my subculture geekosity that was sorely lacking till now. But would I reccomend that anybody else see i? Aww hell no.

But if you ARE inclined and you're a Comcast Digital Cable subscriber, it'll e available all this month in the "Premium Channels" section, under "Starz".

We just got back from the ultrasound, and yes, we have a real live baby! Only 11-ana-half weeks along, but we had to have it done because the doctor couldn't find a heartbeat last week. But there the little tyke was, all happy to perform and dancing around for us, saying "Looky! Here I am! I was just sleping! Over here!"

I now have to be completely honest. When other expectant parents have shown me ultrasound pictures in the past, I have never actually seen the baby. They'll point and say stuff like "See? There's the face!" and I'll nod my head and smile. But really, it's like those stereoscopic pictures tha were all the rage a few years back that looked like a snow/no picture problem but supposedly created a fantastic image of a sailboat when you crossed your eyes just right; I never ever saw the sailboat, and I never ever saw the baby.

But now that it's *OUR* baby? Yeah, I totaly see it! Right there! Dancing around nd turning to face the camera and WOW IT'S A BABY!!!

Tonight, our Comcast DVR died :( They can't replace it till Sunday afternoon. BUT! The thing tha was extremely cool was that the guy who we called at Comcast to confirm that the box was dead? A guy over on the video side whom I've never met?

He knew who I was :)

"Bananna-Shirt Man, right? With all the cool toys!"

I love it when I attract enough attention to become famous all around the callcenter! Daddy may have never paid attention, but DAMMIT everyone else will! I'll MAKE them pay atention!

But on a sad note, it'll be really weird going in tomorrow morning and not seeing Vutthy sitting there in his pink shirt, waiting to say "Hey Bri-yaaaaaaan, wassup?" Vutthy and I became familliar with eachother over the course of the solid MONTH of OT that we worked the same shift for. He was a cool guy. Just turned 21. And now he's dead :(

Must keep from focusing on the negative.
