It's actually a pretty slow week for 80's cartoons on DVD... matter of fact, the only thing being released tomorrow even remotely 80's is "Speed Racer: Collector's Edition Volume 4". Sure it was a 60's cartoon, but it got pretty heavy play in the 80's (at least where I came from). Unfortunately, the only time I ever watched Speed Racer was when some stupid sporting event preempted my usual cartoons for the day. And to this day I *STILL* hate televised Golf and College Football.

Speed Racer I just didn't like. And they tried HARD to get me to like it! Fast cars, a girl who looked kinda like Betty Rubble (the HAWTEST married chick in all cartoondom), and best of all A MONKEY!!! How could you not like that?

Well I didn't like it. Never have, probably never will :(

So I was finally able to download and install a cracked version of Nero7, YAY! It has the Wizard interface that I've been craving for easy DVD creation, complete with animated musical menus and everything! With just a few clicks i can take standard .avi or .mpg files and make them in to a comprehensive fully functionsal professional looking DVD, playable on any DVD player!

In theory.

The Wizard works great, but then I hit the "Create DVD" button and leave it to start encoding the video. All goes well for about an hour, then it just freezes; no error message or anything. The timer on the program is still counting down the Elapsed Time, but there's no progress.

I've tried it three times so far, no luck. Tried ending all unnecessary tasks through the Task Manager, nothing. And so my spare moments of my weekend thus far have een wasted on tryin gto get this stupid thing to work! GRRRR!!!

One more try... let's see what happens. Do you think that maybe i just need more Ram?
