The Point

Dinner went off last night with only one hitch - the sauce didn't become the sauce I wanted. I ended up scratching the whole thing and making a sauce of butter, flour, wine and lemon (thickened with a teaspoon of flour). Added some of those garlic chives for flavor. Came out pretty good and for the same amount of points, so who am I to complain?

Oh, and I *WAY* over-cooked the Asparagus. The instructions on our steamer said to let Asparagus steam for 15 minutes, and I foolishly believed it! Next time, 3 minutes should be PLENTY.

Since I'm working Overtime today, I'm experimenting with stretching out my meals for the day. Breakfast was a hearty 2-points of Oatmeal. Then I have 2 apples and 2 oranges to give me quick boosts when I need them,. probably during my breaks. And a 5-point can of soup for lunch, and a 3-point box of Cracker Jacks for a treat! If I eat all of that, I'm on course for another 16-point dinner tonight. Since I need to be up EXTRA EARLY tomorrow, I'll probably resort to some fast food. Thank goodness I cashed my final Ebay check today!

First lunch (working OT so they give me two lunch breaks today):

2 apples, one orange. 3 points.

Second lunch (at 7 tonight) Will be a THREE POINT can of Roasted Chicken Rotini soup with 6-points of Subway Sandwich. And by the end of my shift I will also have eaten 3-points worth of Twizzlers, 2 more oranges and a 2-point box of Cracker Jack. That brings the grand total for the day to only 21 points :(

Looks like I'll have to eat BOTH halves of my sandwich (another 6 points) and STILL have 7 points left over! CRIPES!

It's HARD to get my full 34 points a day! Maybe I'll stop at Jack In The Box on my way home and get 2 tacos for 99-cents... that's 7 points there.

Hey [livejournal.com profile] khristle! I'm stopping at J in the B on the way home! What would you like for your dinner? Chicken Sandwich Extra mayo, Fries and a shake?

My last caller stunned me so much I had to blog him IMMEDIATELY!
"Yeah, I was just wondering... since I pay y'all for Internet Service? Does that price, the price I'm payin' each month... does that also include Internet Service?"

Wha--? Uhm.... yes? The internet service you pay us for does indeed include internet service? I don't know?

And it just went down hill from there. He wanted to know if we cahrge on a per-page basis for the internet. He was also concerned that he could have to pay extra to use the comcast.net website.

And me? I'm just concerned that he might try to procreate.
