(no subject)

khristle's grandma had taken a turn for the worse over night, she was unable to recognize people, was mostly blind, all sorts of bad things. Based on the description that I have been given, it sounds like she was in an almost coma-like status and not expected to come out of it. Doctors said that it was just a matter of time now, all her functions would slowly shut-down one at a time till she is just "Gone".

Being an extremely Catholic family, they all started doing what all good Catholic families do; they started praying The Rosary. Crystal's Mom and Grandma spent A LOT of time praying The Rosary together several times a week every week, they are THAT kind of Catholic family.

So there they all are, gathered around the bed, and I guess that when praying The Rosary each person takes "The Lead" in turn. Crystal's mom had just finished her go at it and said "Okay Mom... your go..."

...And Grandma sat up in bed an started saying The Rosary!

...And asked for her glasses!

...And is recognizing the people around her!

...And is eating food!!!

Expect to see this on The 700 Club or something in the near future, I'm sure!

Hitting me hard now

Sitting here in the quiet, dark apartment... and NOW it's really sinking in. Molly and Crystal are going to e GONE for TWO WHOLE WEEKS starting tomorrow evening. They get on the plane at 5-ish and don't come back till the 27th. Last time they were gone for only ONE week and it nearly killed me; two weeks will be an eternity.

Crystal and Molly are going to Ohio to be with the family and see Grandma off. I'm going to miss them harder than anything I've ever missed in my life ;_;
