I had the hotel room reserved.

I had the reservations for the gourmet restaurant made.

I had over HALF my crap boxed and ready to go.

I had arranged an entire three-day weekend for Molly with my Mother, giving [livejournal.com profile] khristle

I had the Dealer Table at the Portland Comic Book Show paid for.

...OR SO I THOUGHT.

Apparently whoever took my name, information, credit card and confirmation last week when I called to get The Table? Yeah, they don't remember me calling at all.

But when i called back tonight to see why they hadn't charged our card yet, The Dude at The Portland Comic Book Show said they've been sold out for weeks.

The day that i called in (Oct. 25) was a very hectic day for them. They had many, many people call in for tables. Current theory is that my information was taken, then conveniently "Lost" when someone local wanted a table.

So now I've got a lot of calls to make, canceling reservations and breaking plans and wishing I had gone to The Seattle Show two weeks ago :(

Deflated

I'm so depressed right now. Not "Bleach-N-Ammonia-Colada" depressed, not by a longshot! But I just feel... deflated. Like i had just gotten all the Christmas stuff out of storage and started listening to Andy Williams records when suddenly somebody said "Oh, about that... Christmas is CANCELLED this year. Sorry."

Selling pop-culture is what i was BORN to do! Haggling and negotiating with customers makes my blood move! Everything i collect, I collect it while thinking "I'll bet I could sell that for TWICE what I'm paying for it" and that's what makes collecting fun.

I can't seem to get excited about ANYTHING right now. Nothing sounds fun. Nothing even sounds BEARABLE right now. I'm just so...

...Deflated :(
