Does anybody know how to figure out if an e-mail is legitimately from a particular source or not? My Geek-Fu doesn't include being able to decipher headers and whatnot, but this appears to be legit as far as I can tell. Received e-mail from legal@foodnetwork.com this morning regarding my [livejournal.com profile] iron_trash community, which is loosely based on their "Iron Chef" television program.

Full text and Header Code behind LJ CUT as to avoid filling your FL with a bunch of lines of code and legal mumbo-jumbo )

If this *is* real, it very well may mean the end of [livejournal.com profile] iron_trash :( There was a guy who ran a community here on LJ called "Improved Archie" that was GREAT to be a member of, but once he started getting the Cease & Desist Warnings it all went down-hill till finally he was "persuaded" to delete the community :(

Any help/advice that anyone can give is GREATLY appreciated!

Ganked from [livejournal.com profile] das_prompt, not an April Fools joke... just an incredibly funny and well-timed technical gaff from some local News program:

If this one *is* an April Fools Day prank, then these people put entirely too much thought and creativity in to a product that doesn't exist but SHOULD exist. It makes it so you can type and walk at the same time!
