The *REAL* 25 Days of Christmas
Nov. 21st, 2008 01:45 pmIf you're a member of this watch The Family Channel in the US any time during the month of December, then you are most likely familiar with the ABC 25 Days of Christmas. From December 1st till December 25th they devote a HUGE chunk of their programming schedule to Christmas programming. Mostly Movies and then a bunch of the classic Christmas specials like all the Rankin-Bass movies. They've been doing this for as long as I can remember, going all the way back to when they weren't owned by Disney/ABC.
But during recent years they've been sneaking more and more NON-Christmas and/or Holiday themed programming in to the mix, or at the very least stretching the boundaries of what constitutes a "Christmas" movie. There is a scene in Harry Potter that takes place during Christmas, so now all the Harry Potter movies are Christmas Movies right? And there's a character in The Incredibles who has ice-powers... that's Christmassy...
So anywho! I would like to challenge you all to make your VERY OWN "25 Days Of Christmas" programming line-up!
I plan to have mine posted by tomorrow afternoon. Anybody else think this could be fun?
Oh, and btw... I'm cross-posting this to a bunch of Xmas communities and my own LJ. Feel free to spread this challenge to anywhere and everywhere you see fit :)

- For each week day (M-F) try to come up with at least two hours of programming for prime-time. Usually that would be just one movie.
- Each weekend day (Sat-Sun) can have up to 8 hours of programming.
- Once you've got it figured out and written up, post it to your own journal so everybody can admire and/or mock you for your choices :)
