Convention Options
Jul. 20th, 2009 07:31 amI could either:
(a) Leave at 6am on Friday, be there by 6pm Friday Night, sleep in a hotel room and be refreshed/ready for Conventioning Saturday morning or
(b) Leave at 10:30pm Friday night, try to sleep on the plain, arrive in Columbus at 10am missing the first several hours of the convention to travel time and check-in at the hotel.
Plan "A" is the one I would much rather go with (even though it would cost me an extra night of Hotel Room) but it has one major flaw - I'd need somebody to watch Molly from about 4am till 3pm when Crystal gets home from work. I don't think I can find such a person in October :( The only way to make it work would be to bribe one of my many Nieces (such a pretty, intelligent group) to stay the night on Thursday night and skip school on Friday.
Plan "B" is the one I really don't want to do. In order to get ANY sleep on the plane I'd have to upgrade to First Class, and that would cost an extra $400. Plus it would be *Airplane Sleep*, which doesn't really count. I'd be groggy and sleepy and jetlagged and having to rely on Convention Adrenaline (Conventialin?) to get me through Day 1. Who knows what I might do in that weakened state? I might even pay FULL GUIDE PRICE FOR A COMIC BOOK *SHUDDER*!!!
