Day 12: A Pretty Good Day
Jan. 12th, 2012 07:38 pmToday is a day I can't talk about... not yet. Maybe under a "Friends Only" post, later. It was good to be recognized as a non-threat, it was good to have a friend start the same process as me in the exact same way and get different results because of the groundwork I had lay. It was good to just let go, telling all parties involved to just go for it because at least I'll know that I tried absolutely EVERYTHING in my power to prevent the damage.
I feel good about today :)
I should have known it was going to be a good day because after I dropped off Molly at school I decided to head down to our local Target store for some bubble bath. When I got there they had JUST marked all of the "Clearance" priced doys down another notch to 75% off (had been 30% to 50% off since a week before Christmas) and there was a lady from some charity there loading up a dozen shopping carts with all the best stuff! Since there wasn't much there that interested me (I only buy NEW toys when they're at a price where i can re-sell them for $3 and STILL make a profit), I helped the lady load up her shopping carts. She said she wasn't allowed to tell me which charity she was with, but he strongly indicated that it was Children's Hospital so that's cool :)
One toy I did buy for Molly and I, one we/I had had my eye on since last Christmas, was one o those GIANT Radio Control Monster Trucks. This truck is bigger than our cat, bigger than our dog... it's awesome. It was originally $90, and now here it was ghoveing just a few coins over $20... I had to have it.
Molly and I played with it outside till we were both frozen, and then Molly continued to play outside with it till she fell and scraped her knee. That was the end of that, but WOW WHAT AN AWESOME TOY!!!
Yup... today has been a pretty good day :)
