Breakfast: Chili-Lime Chicken Wings
Lunch: 3 oz sliced cheddar cheese
Dinner: Tomato Bisque (or at least that's what I'm calling it, 1/2 cup of my veggie sauce and 1/2 cup of heavy cream)

Gym: None, 30.5 miles total

Clean: 20/10 x1

Crystal took over after work yesterday so I could take a nap, which was WONDERFUL. Yesterday was the last day of Molly needing round-the-clock medications every 5 hours, her last dose coming at around 2:30 this morning because she woke up crying :( But this morning she was sleeping just fine and woke-up with no pain so HOORAY NO MEDICATION YAAAY!!! We are now on a strictly "Take as needed for pain" basis with the meds!

I feel that it must be noted, I never would have made it through the last week without the help of my beloved partner. The one who wakes up with me every morning and makes me smile, the one who motivated me and kept me going even when I thought I couldn't do it any more... Ravens Brew Coffee "Dead Man's Reach" blend, simply the best coffee I've ever had.

Oh, and :)

(Seriously, though... Dead Man's Reach. Try it. Delicious hot or iced, fresh-brewed or days old in the pot!)

ONCE AGAIN, I am outraged by the amount of "Disneyland Expert" apps and websites that use a picture of the castle at Disney World as their main image. As I said recently over on Facebook, it's like the difference between Chinese and Japanese - YOU may not be able to tell the difference, but if you say we're going out for Chinese Food and you take me to a Sushi Restaurant? I'm gonna have to mock you.

"But Captain Slinky" I hear you asking, "How can I, an average person of minimal Disnowledge, tell the difference between the two castles?"

Here you go.

If you've just entered the park and passed through the tunnels below Main Street Station to find yourself on Main Street USA where you feel like you've been transported to a bustling turn-of-the-century town, and there in the distance, at the other end of the street, you see a man holding hands with... is that a mouse? ANd the man, he seems to be pointing to something... is that... oh my gosh, is that a castle? THAT'S DISNEYLAND.

If you've just entered the park and passed through the tunnels below Main Street Station to find yourself on Main Street USA and go HOLY CRAP THERE'S A GIANT CASTLE AND hey these buildings look kind of old-fashioned that's weird", THAT'S DISNEY WORLD.

Please feel free to print this out and keep it handy for your own personal reference :)

Needed to cook up the last of the fresh tomatoes so I started trying to make my Soup/Sauce again, but made a few changes based on necessity:
  • Couldn't find the Basil in my neighbors back yard (she said we could help ourselves to it any time we like), so I replaced it with a small amount of dry Oregano.
  • Replaced the onions with a big bunch of Leeks that was sitting at the bottom of our veggie basket and needed to be used up
  • Instead of using all Beefsteak Tomatoes, it's about half-and-half mixed with Little Cherry Tomatoes.
  • Iodized Salt instead of Sea Salt, because I grabbed the wrong salt out of the cupboard

Fingers crossed that this works! I'm fully expecting a more Italian vibe from this batch :)
