Potato Chips are just vegetarian Bacon, if you think about it too long.
  • Somebody long ago said about both these foods "Say, this food is fine, but you know the part I REALLY like is the crispy-salty bit! We should just slice it thin and cook it that way so it's ALL Crispy-Salty Bits!"
  • There's no legitimate way to claim that either one is good for you, but you'll be damned if any Doctor is going to make you give either up.
  • Once the package is open, Chips and Bacon will both be devoured quickly unless you exercise some EXTREME will power.
  • There is no such thing as leftover Bacon or Chips.
  • Both make a sandwich 100 times better.

The list goes on and on, the parallels between the two! But what I want to know is which one came first? Which one made somebody say "Hey, you know that thing with do with Pork/Potatoes? How about we do that to Potatoes/Pork as well!"

And don't wuss out on technicalities - we're talkin' AMERICAN Bacon (not that Canadian Circle Stuff or those giant irregular slabs of English Salt Pork) and AMERICAN Potato Chips (not "Crisped Potato" or "Shoestring Potato Garnish"). Hickory Smoke Flavored Identical Strips Of Bacon, and Greasy Sacks of Potato Chips.
