131 - A Bunch Of Little Things
Jun. 20th, 2015 11:08 amITEM: The new Disney Pixar film "Inside Out" is doomed to failure, as it is about a little girl and her two parents. She's not an orphan, neither of her parents are dead or "Out Of The Picture" through divorce, and there are no siblings for her to lean on. Does Disney SERIOUSLY expect us to believe that there are perfectly happy three-person families out there???
ITEM: Yesterday was my Dad's Birthday, he would have been... 80? That sounds right. I did nothing to celebrate, but had a great time remembering how his birthday was ALWAYS a reason for a great big party. Did he EVER have a quiet Birthday?
ITEM: Molly is now officially out of school, and she started her Summer Vacation just like her Old Man did HE was in school - by having a serious allergy attack that bloomed in to a full-fledged Summer Cold! Starting Summer Vacation off with a good bout of illness is a tradition that goes all the way back to 1984 when I missed the last day of Fourth Grade (the "Party Day") due to getting the Chicken Pox.
ITEM: It has now been a full MONTH since I saw the movie Tomorrowland, and I still think about it every day. But what's important about the one month anniversary is that I had promised myself one month to think about it before I tried to put my thoughts down in to an LJ post again.
