No idea what it's for. Think it would have a high resale value?

it's somewhat of a niche product. it's used for creating diagrams, flowcharts, etc.
best resale value is office.

You should print off this list and take it with you so you'll remember what has the hightest retail :)

Do the ebay thing to see what these go for - since that would be your resale venue - and go by that list.

And, if you're planning on taking the tightwad approact to new computers over the years, I cannot over-emphasize the value of a Legit Full copy of the current Operating System when you're building your own. Not in resale, but in saving yourself aggravation. Of course, if your next computer's gonna be a Dell, not that big a deal.

they are often marked not for resale. the agreement states that you will not sell them.
m$ also occasionally watches these things. they don't take kindly to violations.

Hence the value of the legit copies of XP. I have 4 - and since we have anything from 2 to 4 computers in our posession that are actually working at any given point in time, Its handier than cash. I hate spending $279 on a copy of XP Pro. I love the Freakachu going & breaking a game for some developers once every few months & hooking us up w/legit copies. Keeps me from having to deal with the annoyance of cracks & non-updatable fakey copies.

I'm not that big an Ebay person - my prior efforts in unloading stuff have not paid off at all - so if I'm going to unload anything big i'd rather pass it off to people I know. But, The Cap'n seems to like it, so...
