No... READ what I typed! If you buy the new NIN or MM JUST so you can complain about how much it sucks, then you're a poser. And I'll add to that the fact that you'll only mention that you think the new album sucks AFTER you've heard at least three of your friends say that THEY think it sucks. I should also add (for further clarification) that if you bought it because you like it, then you are on the right track to non-poserness.
Shopping at Hot Topic is okay by my rules... The posers are the ones who don't shop there because someone told them that only posers shop there and they don't want anyone to think they are a poser, or they DO shop there because they think that if they wear the clothes there, then they will be "Freaks". Further clarification point: If you shop there because they have a shirt you want, or DON'T shop there becasue you know they make inferior products with pretty pictures on them, then you are on the road to non-poserness.
The good thing about "Rivetheads" (or "Freaks", or "Punks", or any other free-minded generalized classification of non-conformists) is that none of this really matters!
