Contradiction, or just bad communication?
Nov. 26th, 2005 08:26 amBack-to-back in my InBox at werk this morning I have:
And as if that weren't enough to confuse a poor Cap'n Slinky, there's more! See, the reason they want us to transfer calls to the CDV Sales is because there's a CONTEST! For every 6 calls you transfer to the CDV sales in a particular day that actually sign up for the service, you get an entry in to a contest. And the big prize is a trip to NASA! WOOT!
So! In order to keep my stats where they should be AND get a chance to go to NASA, I would have to take over 900 calls in an 8-hour shift, roughly 120 calls an hour, or two calls every minute.
(1) An E-Mail asking me to cut down on the amount of transfers I make, as they want us to keep our transfered calls down to below 1.5% (which, when you take an average of 85 calls a day means transfering less than one call per day).
(2) An E-Mail telling me that I need to talk-up our new Comcast Digital Phone service to all the customers, and end the call with "Would you like me to transfer you to a CDV Sales Specialist?"
