captain_slinkyToday was like some weird, wonderfull dream. First off, we found a bunch of 80's stuff at a garage sale (working Teddy Ruxpin with change of clothes/3 tapes and books, Smurfs stuff, My Little Pony stuff, Care Bears stuff) and only paid $3 to fill our car with it all. Then i went to a bunch of comic book stores and got a bunch of free comic books (and shame on you if you didn't take advantage of the day!). Then I won a radio contest at the last comic book store I stopped at, and got a crappy CD that I traded to a dude for a "107.7 The End" T-Shirt (All I had to do was answer the question "Where did Spiderman get his Black Costume". I could have gone on for HOURS about that, but shortened the answer to "From The Beyonder, during The Secret Wars"). Then I went and performed a wedding ceremony where I married my best friend to the greatest guy she will ever meet and/or latch on to. And Andy Griffith was there, as was a woman who looked to be a composite of the mother in every sit-com from Father Knows Best to Leave It To Beaver (and all points in between). Then we ate a fish.
If I had been wearing nothing more than my underwear, and had Gary Coleman been there, I would have sworn that I spent the whole day in bed and dreamed it.
