Gaming Options
Aug. 20th, 2006 05:45 pmFirst off, this is an OPEN INVITATION to anyone who might want to join us in our Friday Night Gaming. Most of us are in the North-End (Lynnwood/SoEv), but could possibly be convinced to carpool in to an apropriately spacious gaming area.
Now, to our existing Gaming Group (Whom I just now have decided shall be called "The Comcastadores"). I propose that gaming take place every OTHER Friday, preferably on "Payday" Friday. Gaming would be from 6-ish till 11-ish, with a semi-strict cut-off of 11:30.
So why am I proposing this? because I'm ready to start some hard-core ROLE-PLAYING GAMING, my friends! Since I have yet to re-familiarize myself with the Heroes Unlimited system, here are our options:
So let me know what you think! Any ideas/suggestions?
Now, to our existing Gaming Group (Whom I just now have decided shall be called "The Comcastadores"). I propose that gaming take place every OTHER Friday, preferably on "Payday" Friday. Gaming would be from 6-ish till 11-ish, with a semi-strict cut-off of 11:30.
So why am I proposing this? because I'm ready to start some hard-core ROLE-PLAYING GAMING, my friends! Since I have yet to re-familiarize myself with the Heroes Unlimited system, here are our options:
ZOMBIES RPG: A variation of the Zombies Game that we are already familliar with, only using actual ROLE PLAYING and CHARACTER SHEETS. You'll bring to the table 3 pre-rolled characters complete with a background that makes sense, expecting at least two of them to die. THE SCENARIO: Standard George Romero zombie apocolypse stuff. The recently deceased are rising from the dead with an insatiable hunger for human flesh. Your mission is to just try and survive, maybe even find some semblance of civilization (the last broadcast you heard was urging citizens to make their way to local Emergency Releife Centers) or build your own utopian society.
D&D (Mixed Editions) Campaign: Borrowing bits and pieces from pretty much every edition of D&D but using current d20 rules for combat/spell resolution. THE SCENARIO: The new King in the Kingdom of Kamaar, outraged by the high mortality rate amongst inexperienced adventurers, has instigated a new Department of Adventurer Affairs (The DAA). The DAA was designed to help place aspiring adventurers in dungeon crawls that better match their skill level. Unfortunately, just like most governement-run agencies, the DAA has devolved in to little more than a cross between a Welfare/Unemployment Office and a Temp Agency. However, it *is* a great place for an aspiring 1st-level adventurer to get placed in to an adventuring party, meet new people, make connections and build a reputation. You've submitted your resume` and have been assigned to a "Clean-Up" Dungeon; the previous team that was sent in the clear the dungeon "unexpectedly terminated their contract".
So let me know what you think! Any ideas/suggestions?
