Good Idea Trampled To Death!
May. 2nd, 2007 06:14 pmHearing the lamentations of my Co-Werkers as i logged-in, it seems that today is a special super-sized re-run of yesterday. So I decided to try and psyche myself in to a good day with a full 10 minutes of refreshing meditation and positive reaffermation. "Today WILL be a good day... Today will go by quickly and smoothly..."
And it was all unraveled by the very first caller I had. A lady who spoke very little English (French was her native tongue) and wasn't about to let me feed her any "Cook Und Bool Sdoreeee" about unplugging her modem.
And it's all been down-hioll from there. And I'm only an hour in to my shift :(

I prefer guided meditation for myself via reading Jon Kabat-Zinn or listening to Belleruth Naparstak (healthjourneys.com). If that doesn't work, play a video game where you get to blow shit up. If you try doing it for real people tend to frown on it.
