Actually i guess this request is open to just about anybody who knows musicals...

I need suggestiond ofr Kids Musicals! Stuff that's snappy and up-beat and non-stop singin-and-dancin and is available through Blockbuster.com!

Any thoughts?

I suggest you look in to things by the Wiggles. I recommend anything featuring "Toot, Toot, Chugga, Chugga" or "Hot Potato". ;)

You up for singing cowboy stuff? Lot of old Gene Autry out there.

Caleb really loves Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Added bonus. It has Donny Osmond in one of his best performances!

Another added bonus: It won't make you rip your ears off with preschool music stuck in your head.

Another added bonus: All singing, much dancing.

Another bonus: Ancient Israelites in cowboy boots. Yeah boy!

The Jonah Veggie Tales movie is a complete riot!

Y'know, i was not as big a fan of the Jonah movie as I was of the regular episodes I had previously seen. Still a good watch, though!

If you can get Laurie Berkner, DO IT! Dan Zanes might be good as well. HAVE to have some Wiggles in there. Backyardigans ROCK! They're not non-stop singing and dancing but there is quite a bit of S&D per episode. Plus I'm sure that you and Crystal would appreciate the cleverness of that show.

And should you desire just the soundtrack on CD of the Backyardigans, please let me know. We can hook you up.

The Backyardigans? I've heard quite a few negative reviews from other parents re: The Annoying Factor of them so I've just avoided them on principal. Might be time to give them a try?

On the Veggietales front, you should check out the Ultimate Silly Song Countdown. Not a musical really, but it's a great top 10 countdown of the best of the first bunch of silly songs. It's hosted by the Pirates Who Don't Do Anything & has it's own new (at the time) silly song. They put Larry on the spot & he has nothing prepared so he sings the menu for the chinese take-out they've been eating.

We have this on VHS as well as the CD. Let me know if you'd like to borrow them.

Do you want a burn of TMBG's Here Come the ABCs? Lots of good songs, and you get the seeds of TMBG laid in early. Between that and No, we've got Riley pretty entrenched in TMBG-ness.

how did I miss this???

The Music Man, may not be all singing and dancing, but The Shapoopie is a classic sure to get the kids dancing.

All so an oldie but a god, Raffi. Anything by Raffi would turn the niece from a screeching brat to a smiling dancing child...wonder if it would still work...

Excellent! Thanks much! Figured you had just dismissed my requests now that I'm no longer "Branded"!

Teen Witch? Does it have much singin' and dancin'? I don't really recall... all those Disney Channel-esque Kid Flicks of the 90's just blend together for me after a while...
