Comic Book artist Mike Wieringo, dead at age 44.

How best to describe Wieringo to the non-nerd? He's one of those VERY distinct artists that makes it very obvious that you're looking at Wieringo art. He didn't draw super heroes; he drew *Icons*. That's really all I can say I guess. His run on The Flash and Impulse (a character that he co-created) were just fantastic.

Impulse! That's the name that the Green Arrow gives to Bart in Smallville. Now that I've looked it up, he eventually became Kid Flash & then The Flash. Right?

Just strange that he was a health-conscious vegetarian yet he died so young.
