A Long and Winding Road
Sep. 3rd, 2007 12:14 pmMany years ago I bought a Five-Piece Surround Sound Speaker System that was designed for use with gaming consoles. I bought it because i was having problems with the volume on my DVD player always going really loud then really quiet and someone suggested that it was because I was relying on the speakers in my TV. So I saw this system at a local GameStop, marked down from $110 all the way down to something like $20, so I bought it.
Hooked it up to the DVD player, ran little wires all over the bedroom to spread the speakers properly, and it seemed to kinda sorta fix the problem kinda. But then we got pregnant and abandoned the whole TV-In-The-Bedroom thing, but the speakers remained all set-up just in case.
About a month before Molly showed up, I took the speakers down and they've been kicking around our bedroom all that time.
But NOW I have my new desk and my new set-up and an EXCELLENT place to put the speakers right a bove my monitor. And WOW but does it sound NICE! I'm so glad I decided against just tossing these speakers!
Up next: Hooking up the Scanner, printer and VCR. Soon I will be able to encode VHS to DVD! WOOT!!!
