Molly got immunized for some stuff today (I'm a bad Daddy and don't know anything beyond the fact that someone was poking my little girl and making her cry alot) which apparently has the common side-effect of making a little girl unable to sleep because she's all fevery and sick-like (was it an influenza shot? Sounds right).
So THAT, combined with last night's late-night shenanigans? It's gonna be another long, horrific night. She's watching Wizard of Oz right now, with just the occasional outburst. Poor, sweet Punkin' :(
This of course may mean that I'll be canceling on
sasjhwa tomorrow afternoon for all the helping with the moving in to his new house... the SECOND such friend that I've had to cancel on in as many weeks (last week it was poor frazzled
aqua1)!
So when it comes time for US to move away from our apartment? I'm more than expecting several similar "coincidences" to pop-up and keep anyone and everyone from being able to help. It's that Karma stuff that's been going around!

Date: 2007-09-05 05:56 am (UTC)Did you ever notice in RPGs that healing potions are always a nice beverage in a stoppered bottle with a pleasant taste of tropical fruit and a pleasant aftertaste? They never smell of almonds and have to be injected with medieval syringes. They never have side effects either. "Slick Sammy's Cure All Wounds Potion - Guaranteed to cure light, medium or heavy wounds." And in small print "Side effects may cause light, medium or heavy vomiting, diarrhea, boils, bleeding of the gums or cancerous growths on the tongue. If symptoms occur, use our Cure All Sickness Potion (side effects may be light, medium, or heavy bleeding sores, lesions, and boils"
I don't know why that popped into my head. Man, if I wanted to get rid of adventurers I would pack the best healing potion in an elixir that causes leprosy. Or even worse, EDS!
No problem on the moving. I fully understand. It is now 12 hours before we are scheduled to start and we still don't know if we will be ALLOWED to start.
