I got myself "Up To Date" with back-issues of The Walking Dead (up to issue #48) and I... I can't...

Robert Kirkman is the only Comic Book Writer that has ever been able to SHOCK and HORRIFY me enough to physically DROP THE COMIC BOOK in mid page-turn and be nervous to pick the book back up to finish it. If you read this book, you probably know where I went numb. My heart was racing... I broke in to a cold sweat... I couldn't blink - I COULDN'T STOP READING! The only thing I can compare it to would be the first time i saw the original Evil Dead (my very first horror film after a childhood of nothing even so scary as Disney's "Headless Horseman").

So I went and bought my tickets to the Emerald City Comic Con today so, if for no other reason, i can at least go and slug Robert Kirkman in the jaw for doing this to me.

(On a sid enote, the one thing I dislike about The Walking Dead is that it's not a comic that a casual reader can just pick up an issue of and be ready to go. It's something that has to be read from the very beginning, in order.)

How much are the tickets to Emerald City Comic Con? and where can I get the tickets? I'd love to surprise my hubby with tickets...he freakin' LOVES Will Wheaton.

Under the "Tickets" section... you can either buy them on-line, or they have a list of local shops that you can buy them at directly :)

I LOVE "The Walking Dead"! I have to hold back and not buy it all at once, because then I'll read it all at once when I have it. ^_^

I usually buy it in spurts any more... if I don't have two or three issues waiting for me all at once, I end up feeling hungry for more afterwards :)

Oh, totally! I got two of the books at once, thinking I could pace myself...ended up reading them both in the same day. ^_^ And I STILL wanted more.

OMG. As a zombie fangirl, The Walking Dead is one of my absolute favorites as well. I understand your sentiments completely!

I love the walking dead, it's why I buy it in trades. I lent my trades to a friend, I think he got through the first 5 or so trades and the next day was like 'I was fighting zombies all night!'

WD is hugely popular. I haven't checked it out myself. I'm even starting to get behind on my weekly haul (You know you have too many subs when...)

Put it in the freezer!
