Things what happened in the past 72 hours
Aug. 5th, 2008 07:24 pmMy mother was admitted to the hospital for some arterial fibulation. They used the Defibulators and everything on her to get her heart working properly again. She's fine now.
My Sister, Vicki, who has live din Iowa for the past 20 years, sold all her crap and drove here to pursue a career in Broadcast news. Both her sons are grown and gone now, the youngest just got admitted in to The Airforce.
I was given four gratuity items from Microsoft for play-testing an XBox 360 game that looked like it belonged on the GameCube.
I got to read the EXTREMELY RARE "Duncan & Mallory" adventures, written by Robert Aspirin back in '85. Good stuff, solid concept, but a bit light on the whole execution. Still it's the stuff of legends!
I got to read an older edition of The Anarchist Cookbook. Talk about your stuff of legends! I now no more about how to F#%k up your world than any person should ever know on a casual level.
I tried Aha Toro Tequilla. All it did was reaffirm my belief that booze is completely waste don me; all I got was slightly warm and uncomfortable.
Played more Magic: The Gathering than I have in the past 2 years.
Got a lead on a part-time on-call job at a new game store in Woodinville. It's not much, but it'll bring in a little bit of money right?

Date: 2008-08-06 12:32 pm (UTC)At least you get paid money at your p/t job! I only get paid in comics/merchandise which I can't actually use to pay my bills.
Hey, since you like old comics (and I'm red in the face admitting I have these), any chance you or someone you know likes old 90's porn comics? Seriously. There is a box on the floor behind me and I'd love to get rid of them. My husband had some questionable taste when he was younger.

Date: 2008-08-06 03:18 pm (UTC)Stick 'em on Craigslist as "Underground Comix Collection" and pass them on to somebody who will pass out once they discover that the person they are buying from is a GIRL with BOOBS. You'll make a FORTUNE!
