So this is what a Religious Fervor feels like?

I'm PrObama - have been ever since I first saw him and heard him speak. But I don't think I like other Obama supporters, mainly because they're the most obnoxiously enthusiastic people I've ever encountered since Hard-Core Christians!

Have you noticed the similarities as well?

Whenever the subject comes up in even the most obscure and barely-related ways, they have to extol the virtues of their hero. They go on and on about how they never really cared about anything till they heard the good news about this guy, and it was completely life-changing. And if you don't love their fellow as much as/in the same way as they do, they go in to their sales pitch trying to convert you and telling you how you're so very wrong for not believing in this guy as strongly as THEY believe in this guy. And if they fail to convert you, they either (a) pitty you for not seeing the obvious truth or (b) decide to no longer be your friend because they'd rather only associate with people who have "Seen the Light".

So who is that? An Obama Supporter, or a hard-core Christian?

Either way, it turns me off. Just as I can't imagine a Christian being able to say anything that would make me go "Oh my GOSH, you're RIGHT! I've been wrong all along! I'm gonna change my wicked ways RIGHT NOW and let Jesus in to my heart!", I can't either imagine an Obama supporter saying anything that would make a McCain and/or "Undecided" person say "OMG YOU'RE SO RIGHT OBAMA *IS* THE WAY TO GO!!!"

So instead of being "On Of Those People" any more, I think I'm gonna go the same way as my *cooler* Christian friends. Just gonna let it all slide, and then when/if a person goes "Hey, Obama *is* pretty keen, isn't he?" I'll just smile and nod knowingly :)

I'm not an Obama fan. To me he looks slick, has a catchy easy to chant slogan and that's about it. This rise from obscurity to top of the bill in 4 years scares me. Who the fuck is he worth half a billion dollars to? That's what it's gonna cost to elect him. (McCain's camp will also spend half a billion bucks on him) If you stick to basic business investors expect 3:1 on their investments.

The only thing keeping me slightly leaning to the dems is Teddy stood up and included Gays in his speech last night. If it's part of the platform I may stay. I so wish there was a viable 3 candidate out there.

You're the second person I've encountered who comes straight-out and says "I don't like the way he looks", followed by lots of vague innuendo-ish near-accusations of inappropriate behavior. Nobody can prove anything, but they're all pretty sure he's up to no good.

Me, i think that makes him more like Bugs Bunny!

I'm a non-smoker who is deathly allergic to smoke, and so is my wife. We have absolutely no problem with taxing the crap out of folks who choose to smoke in order to make our State better, so I'm 100% Pro-Gregoire :)

But then again, Rossi *would* put wimmin-folk back in the Kitchen where they belong... it's such a Liberal Democrat way of thinking to let a woman decide what she can and can't do with her own body!

I don't trust either of the Presidential candidates. Ultimately it will come down to who I distrust the least.

As for the Washington Governorship, I'll go with the status quo. The Washington economy is one of the best in the nation. Which is pretty good considering what it's like elsewhere.
