I want to take classes some time soon to become a Seamstress. But I'm a boy... so what would that make me? A Seamster?

Hoping that it's not something as simple as "Tailor", nor something as flippant as "Nancy Boy" or "Fancy Lad".

As the son of a seamstress, my sewing skills got the guys on the ship to call me a Seamster.

If you teach yourself, you'd be a craftster, I think...

rather gender-non-specific.

Neither a seamster nor a tailor shall you be. DESIGNER shall be thy designation!
