captain_slinky | D&D&FAIL + WIN!

Game Night failed to result in any actual Dungeons & Dragons due mostly to my stoopid poopy-head computer refusing to let me see our printer till after Dan touched it with his magic fingers. SERIOUSLY! I couldn't even get a "My Network Places" to show up and then he just TOUCHED THE MOUSE and it magically showed up in the Start Menu!

Anywho, didn't get character sheets printed out till just after 9:30ish, so it was kinda silly to begin a game right then.

HOWEVER!

aquatwo brought over Carcasonne and taught us all how to play a very very very simplified version of it. A good time was had by all :)

Then we busted out Munchkin. I can see why

aquatwo has had issues with this game in the past. If you're playing with a bunch of "I MUST WIN" types of people, it could easily become the feel-bad game of The Year. Lots of back-stabbing, lots of screwing people over... if we hadn't had such a fun-loving group of misfits, it could have become VERY awkward VERY quickly. Lucky for us we're all the "Let's have fun and make the game as fun for everyone as we possibly can... AND THEN I WILL WIN!!!" types of gamers :)

The Halfling Thief is ridiculously over-powered. I didn't WIN with one, but I did make several people miserable with it :)

Doing this thing on Saturday was an awesome success (imho) giving us plenty of time to try different games, enjoy conversation and eat Chex Mix till we barf. Looking VERY forward to our next shin-dig, which will be on Saturday March 11 (that's the weekend AFTER Emerald City Comic Con, btw).
