One of my Mini-Dreams last night has put me on a bit of a mission. You may share in this mission if you like.

I'm trying to compile a list of all the different TV Theme Songs that feature just straight-up TALKING.

Examples I have so far? The A Team, Knight Rider, The Odd Couple, Star Trek, Star Trek: The Next Generation, The Incredible Hulk and Rhoda.

There can be PARTIAL singing, but there has to be a good chunk of just straight-up talking.

The original Battlestar Galactica
Babylon 5 (one of the best talking intros IMO)
Buffy the Vampire Slayer

I want to say Quantum Leap too, but I'm having a hard time remembering the intro to that.

I was coming to say that! However the actual theme is a song (which conveniently is my ringtone), but there's an intro that plays before every episode that is pure talking... though very melodic.

I just looked it up. While there is a great musical score, there is no singing. The clip I found didn't have the dialog, although I know they had it on some of the seasons.

I think Brian's criteria is minimal singing even if most of it is music (hence things like the A Team)

Great song though. :D

The original He-man cartoon intro is all him talking and giving basic exposition, except for a sung "He-man!" twice. The Dungeons and Dragons cartoon was all spoken, with them meeting the Dungeonmaster and being given their classes and weapons and meeting Venger. Centurions, the early 1979/80 Flash Gordon cartoon, Battle of the Planets (70s), Dinosaucers, Dinoriders, Blackstar...

I've got (mostly) 80's cartoons on the brain, if you couldn't tell.
