Since I'm laid up and can't move much on the Damnankle, I went ahead and watched the first 7 episodes of Joss Whedon's Dollhouse.

It took till Episode 3 before I eventually started to warm to it.

Episode 6 was the first one that left me feeling like this is an awesome show.

Episode 7 is just kind of... I think it went back to Episode 3 range for me. If they can just get a few more Episode Sixes in there, I'll be happy :)

I think Joss is trying to tell an awesome story, but the network wants something that feels more mainstream and accessible. There's something great there. We're getting to it. I just hope the network sticks with the show.

They just recently committed to airing all 13 episodes, so that's a better chance than 98% of the Sci-Fi shows that have ever shown on FOX have had!

And yeah, that's totally it! it feels to "Mainstream". it feels like "Prison Break". Did/does anyone actually WATCH Prison Break?

Much like Firefly, I think that Dollhouse will do much better as a dvd set. I also don't see it going to a second season. And much as I love Joss Whedons' work, I still can't get into Dollhouse.

I think he's been doing the same LSD that the writers of the American Life on Mars were doing when they wrote the scenes for the last 6 minutes of the series finale.
