I can only assume this person is referring to the Department of Homeland Security report on Right Wing Extremism in the US. The one that was just released, but was actually ordered over a year ago by the Bush Administration. There was also a report before that about Left Wing Extremism.
The DHS follows crazy groups on both sides and issues reports about them. That's, uh, part of what they do. Yes, there are crazies on both sides. Yes, there are certain topics these groups tend to favor/exploit. Right wing crazies might have a Ron Paul bumper sticker, left wing crazies might have one that says Earth First. Or whatever. It doesn't mean that everyone who supports certain causes is a domestic threat, but when you see a pattern it's probably a good idea to document it.
There was also something in the report about right wing groups attempting to recruit veterans. Shocking news here: The largest domestic terrorist attack in recent history (Oklahoma City) was carried out by two right-wing extremist veterans. Right-wing + knowledge of explosives + the first African American liberal president + a huge spike in gun & ammo purchases = maybe we should keep an eye on things. That DOESN'T mean that every Republican or every veteran is an automatic suspect.
I swear, everyone needs to chill the fuck out and take a logic class at their local community college.
