Hey! Did somebody local on my FL need a record player? I seem to remember telling SOMEBODY that I would keep an eye out for a cheap one, but I can't remember who :(

Anywho, I found one! Turn table, AM/FM Radio, dual tape b=deck and secondary audio input jacks in the back. It's nothing fancy, but it plays records very nicely and it was only $5!

Giving it a week before I list it on Craigslist, if you're interested...

I need one!!!
I don't know if it was me that you talked to though, but if it's $5 you're asking for it, and it works as you say, then I would love it. :D

I remember saying I needed one a while back, but it may not have been me that you talked to. Any chance it plays 45s and 78s?

I have a ton of 78s and nothing working to play them on. If I could fix my grandpa's old record player, I'd be using it. It's a great old thing, but I can't seem to fix it. I should probably break down and have someone look at it again. It plays 78s, 45s, and 33s and it can even tell the difference between the different sizes of 33s! It's pretty awesome. When it works. :/

My collection is a lot of swing, blues and jazz. What's yours?

You should ask [livejournal.com profile] aquatwo about my record collection some time. He dubbed it "The Most Eclectic Record Assortment EVER" :)

1950's and 1960's "Popular" music... not Rock & Roll, but stuff like Starlight Dance Memories, A Salute To Hawaii Our 50th State, Frank Sinatra, Jerry Lewis...

Lots and lots of 70's and 80's Kids Records. Smurfs, Strawberry Shortcake, Romper Room & Friends, Slim Goodbody, Sesame Street, and a whole slew of Hannah Barberra characters like Yogi Bear and Snagglepuss re-enacting fairy tales.

60's and 70's "Soft Rock"... Barry Manilow, Air Supply, The Captain & Tennile...

80's "Butt Rock" that never got famous... anything that looks like a cross between Van Halen and Journey.

Anything and everything from K-Tel Records that i can get my hands on.

Any thing associated with Disney Land and Disney World.

1970's Country Western such as Kenny Rogers and Boxcar Willie.

And finally, "Oddball" stuff. Captain Kangaroo & The international House of Pancakes Read The Story of Peter & The Wolf... Colonel Sanders & Kentucky Fried Chicken Wish You A Happy Christmas... Pretyt much every "Chipmunks" album... strange foreign records... and Polka. Lots and lots of polka.
