Dell Update

Remember on Saturday when Dell said "Good news! Your order will be shipping either today or tomorrow"?

Crystal just called again, and GOOD NEWS! Our order will be shipping either today or tomorrow!

*sigh*

At this point it's like slipping and falling on your butt. It would be HILARIOUS if it were happening to somebody else, but since it's happening to me it's just hurting and causing a huge pain in my ass.

If you paid by credit card or check, I'd cancel the payment as soon as you know this thing is on its way to you. Then when they complain about sending the netbook back to them, give them the same great service they've given you.

I'm working for Costco.com, and we are having the same issues with Dell that you are. We've had people order these things back in October and they STILL haven't gotten it!!! Most of our problem is that there is a world wide shortage of the blue ray players in the computers on Costco.com...but STILL! WTF!?!?

How well did you guys keep records of all this? Besides what I've seen on LJ, obviously there's documentation of that. ;) I ask because I think it would be prudent to write it all up and publish it online somewhere. They need to be held accountable in some way, and that's a good way for other consumers to read about your experiences with them. Also, would the bbb be interested in this? I'm not really sure how that works; if there's a real violation here according to them? I dunno.
