First day of SUMMER
Jun. 21st, 2011 09:24 pmToday I was finally able to get out and mow the lawn! For a solid MONTH it's either been raining or I've had the gout when I should have been mowing, which has lead to a VERY TALL and unkempt lawn to deal with.
Neighbors complained that our lawn has become a breeding ground for fleas during this month of unmowedness; proof was presented that the little dog from two doors over came over and took a dump in our lawn and now he has fleas. The fleas couldn't have come from the empty overgrown lot two doors down, they couldn't have come from the woods that circle our little cul de sac... it had to be from our lawn.
So today I mowed.
Also, I cooked entirely too much meat on my grill. It just seems like such a shame to let that charcoal go to waste! Four cheeseburgers, three chicken breasts, four chicken thighs and a veal chop, as well as an experiment in BBQing Turkey Legs. Used some fancery BBQ sauce that we got for 50 cents a bottle (normally SIX BUCKS), and it was very very good. Thank you for deciding to stop stalking that brand, Top Food & Drug!
