Molly's First Teacher
Aug. 22nd, 2011 05:40 pmWe went to the school today for a one-on-one meeting with the woman who will be Molly's very first Kindergarten Teacher. Crystal and I agreed that she seems to be a very nice lady :)
But then later in the day I got to thinking... OF COURSE we think she's a nice lady! Have you ever heard of somebody coming out of a first-time meeting with a kindergarten teacher muttering "Could you BELIEVE that self-righteous Bitch? Who the HELL doe she think she is, anyways?"
We usually save THAT type of language for after the first report card, right ;)

Date: 2011-08-23 03:04 am (UTC)My 1st grade teacher wasn't much better. My 2nd grade teacher was heaven-sent, I tell you. I was almost hating school by then, except for my awesome new best friend and getting access to the school library.
Oh yeah. THE BITCHY LIBRARIAN WHO TOLD ME MR. POPPER'S PENGUINS WAS TOO HARD FOR ME. I READ WATERSHIP DOWN INSTEAD. TAKE THAT, BITCH.
*ahem*
Sorry. I've kept that in for years.
I'm sure Molly's experience will be better. I've met lots and lots of elementary school teachers over the years and except for those two they've all been awesome.

Date: 2011-08-23 05:03 am (UTC)We're happy with the teacher we got... she looks like she WAS a fresh-faced, idealistic hippie-chick straight out of college and ready to change the world... 8 years ago. Now she's been teaching kindergarten for 5 years and...
At least she wasn't concerned about Molly's speech impediment. :)
