Ebay Rant

Feel free to skip this one if you just don't give a darn.

A few weeks ago, I sold a bunch of posters really cheap on Ebay. One guy won two posters from me. I told him "Hey, if you want, you can pay just $4 for the shipping and I'll put both posters in the same tube, saving you money!"

The guy mailed me back saying "I have my own UPS account. I will pay you $1 each for the posters, and you will send them to me via UPS."

I mailed him back. "Sorry, I only ship via the US Postal Service. i don't even have a UPS Shipping Station anywhere near me! Still, I can at least combine the shipping for you. Let me know if you want me to do this for you."

I didn't hear from him. 3 days later, he paid me for *one* of the posters, plus the $4 for shipping. I figured "Oh good! He's going to let me combine the shipping for him!"

I waited two more days, and he still didn;t pay the $1 more for the other poster. I mailed him saying "Hey, you're just a dollar short! Pay me for the other poster and I can get them in the mail to you today"

3 days later, I sent him a "reminder" through Pay Pal. Still nothing.

Next day, I mailed him personally to let him know that if I didn't hear from him by April 10th, I would send out just the one poster and treat the other one as a non-paying bidder (negative feedback, warning fro eBay, possible suspension of his account).

April 10th rolled around, still no word from this guy. So I shipped out the one poster and filed a non-paying bidder form with eBay.

*TODAY*, the guy mails me out of the blue. He claimed that he paid for both posters via PayPal, and has not recieved them yet.

I mailed him back saying that he only paid for one poster, and I tried numerous times to contact him. I also asked why he never replied to any of my messages.

His only reply was that he wanted UPS delivery.

I told him that I would not do that.

He sent me a flame-ridden e-mail.

And now I'm all upset. GRRRRR!!!

Non-paying bidders suck. But, really, it hurts him more than you. The second poster, at least can still be sold. He's got bad feedback now, and the whole non-paying bidder thing.

AGH! Just reading that entry got me upset! People like that are evil. Hope you're feeling okay, 'cause that entry just ANGERED me and I didn't even experience it. >.
