FREE COMIC BOOK DAY THIS SATURDAY!!!

In case you hadn't heard, this SATURDAY MAY 4TH is FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! Go to a comic book store, get some free comic books, maybe buy some stuff that's on sale... and by all means, take somebody with you! It's the opening weekend of Iron Man 3, so the Comic Geek Groove should be easy to glom on to!

The website I linked to above will allow you to search by zipcode to find your nearest participating comic shop :)

If all goes according to plan, I'll have 4 kids and 3 adults in my entourage :)

Be sure to include a trip to see Iron Man 3 as part of your journey. I saw an early showing. It was pretty near perfect. And worth every penny I spent. I'm going to have to go back and see it on the big screen again.

Three was pretty good. I saw it as part of a marathon: Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Avengers, and Iron Man 3. It was a good day. :D


Tomorrow we're going to Dragon's Lair!

We used to have a Dragon's Lair (same logo, maybe a franchise?) in Bellevue (Washington), but they were too close to a very established, very beloved local game shop called Uncle's Games. And then when Uncle's Games got a comic book store right next to it, it was all over for our poor Dragon's Lair :(
