captain_slinkyBecause I am who I am and tomorrow (FREE COMIC BOOK DAY) is like the Christmas of my people, I usually like to plan it out. The basic plan every year has been to gather as many NEW folks as I can to take in to comic shops with me, go get Free Comic Books with them, then go and enjoy the latest big-screen comic book movie (which always coincides with Free Comic Book Day). Since it is always the weekend before my Birthday, we then go and enjoy free stuff that a fellow gets, like a burger at Red Robin or som Ice Cream at Stone Cold Creamery. It's tradition :)
Yesterday, we came *thisclose* to having a variation in the tradition. Much of the day was spent trying to configure a workable plan of action that would get a truckload of folks up here for the event! A malfunctioning window in our minivan, a Prom and a school suspension diverted THAT plan at the last moment, though, and so we are back to Plan A, which is the same plan as we always have :)
