Hyperbole And A Half is officially "back" today with an article that did exactly what she wanted it to do - it made me uncomfortably laugh at depression. I was EXTREMELY lucky to have my "Piece Of Corn Moment" (read the article) without the help of a doctor or medication, and i really hope I'm not one of those sunny people who presents himself as having "The Answer" ("Meditation is the only way, my friend!").

My corn came in 1996, the year I skipped Christmas. I sat in my apartment all alone and watched the Andy Griffith Show marathon on Nickelodeon all Christmas eve. My emotions came on-line somewhere around 3am Christmas morning, and I laugh-cried myself to sleep.
