Ends up that all it takes to make me start crying about my Dad again is a few hours of Alone Time at home and a picture of the bar that my Dad frequented all through my childhood.

I thought I was done with this, guess I'm not... the last cry I had was when I was alone in my Dad's shop looking for... something. Don't even remember what it was, but that was last week and his death was still fresh.

it comes and goes,it never goes away,it gets less painful though, your tears will turn to smiles and laughter when thinking of our loved ones who have passed, but even then you will have that special tear that randomly rolls down your cheek. :0

Grief comes to me in waves. And sometimes I find that one thing that makes me sad is actually letting me mourn something else entirely.

Dude! Grieving is a process. Please dont rush yourself or think that any feelings you may have are wrong. They're not. My father figure died in 2011 and I still get a little misty eyed now & then. Take your time & grieve your loss. You are totally ok.
