Record-Breaking Highs and Lows!

captain_slinkyFirst, the lows (because what is a LJ account good for if not the minor bitching-and-moaning of every day life?):
-Didn't win the $650 Mountain Bike from 107.7 The End. Those BASTARDS!!!
-Still haven't heard back from the people about that job I interviewed for. Those BASTARDS!!!
-So damn hot around here (went over 90-degrees yesterday) that I have now discovered the sweat-retention level of my underwear. I constantly feel like I have just gone swimming. Those BAASTARDS!!!
But hey! Look over here! It's a half-full glass of water!
-I don't have to ride a $650 Montain Bike all the way from Seattle to Portland in the middle of July. YAY!!!
-I've been getting psyched about that job I interviewed for, and feel confident that I'll get it. YAY!!!
-Since it's so hot, i get to use up all those "Frequent Bitcher Miles" that Crystal racked-up for me when she whined about how cold it was all winter. YAY!!!
Other good stuff that has happened in the last few days include the first BIG BBQ that I've ever hosted at our apartment. Invited over my parents and my brother's family for a cook-out and swimming, which was very fun! Ever since we started getting some sun, I've been thinking that I needed a good dose of burnt meat and giggling children :) I only wish that Penny & Chris could have been there too, but I understand their not really wanting to be around the bulk of my family (since they leap from loving her to despising her with the frequency of a cheap Ham Radio... my mother is flip-flopish, and my father obeys my mothers whims). So hopefully *today* we can get together with P&C and maybe even some Brittany! Do some grilling, do some swimming, and maybe even a little bit of gaming. Who knows?
